GNFC Ltd. Participates in the 10th Edition of India Chem 2018

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (Ltd) had participated in the 10th Edition of India Chem 2018 at NSE Nesco Complex, Bombay Exhibition Centre. It is a biennial international exhibition and is the largest event of Chemicals and Petrochemical industry in India, jointly organized by Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, GOI and FICCI. This was the 10th edition of India Chem and is organized from October 4-6, 2018.

Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Shipping, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Mr. Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the event on 4th October in the presence of Mr. P. Raghavendra Rao, Secretary, Dept. of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, GoI and top industry stalwarts. Mr. Gadkari urged the Chemicals and Petrochemicals industry to look at ways to promote import substitution and explore innovative ways to convert agriculture waste into chemicals. He also announced Government’s plan to start pilot project in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune and Guwahati to run electric buses on Methanol. GNFC is the largest Methanol manufacturer in the country.   

GNFC is the market leader in manufacturing of industrial chemicals like Toluene-Di-Isocyanate (TDI), Acetic Acid, Formic Acid, Aniline, TGU etc.  It had also participated in the past editions of India Chem. It is an excellent platform to connect and network with potential customers, especially international one’s for exports. GNFC’s stall caught the attention of visitors and garnered remarkable footfall during the exhibition. GNFC’s marketing team led by Executive Director Mr. DB Shah, who attended the exhibition, had some fruitful discussions with industry leaders from India as well as abroad.

On the sidelines of this exhibition, India Chem also recognized and awarded the pioneers in Chemicals and Petrochemicals industry under various categories. The India Chem shows that the economic growth in the chemical field is a perquisite for the overall development of the country. Producers, traders and consumers gather here to meet their business contacts and explore this conducive environment for further investments and business development.
