Mechanical Maintenance of Compressors & Turbines (CMG)
GNFC’s various plants, i.e., Ammonia, Urea, Methanol – I & II, SGGU, Acetic acid, Formic acid, Nitro-phosphate group of plants, Captive Power Plant, Utility plant etc. are located at its Bharuch site. There is a centralized maintenance group called Compressor Maintenance Group (CMG) for mechanical maintenance of following critical machines of these plants :
- Turbo-compressor trains – 10 trains. Compressors and turbines (up to 20 MW) of these trains are supplied by M/s Demag, M/s Siemens, M/s BHEL, M/s Man Turbo, M/s.Hitachi, M/s Terry, M/s KKK etc.
- TG Sets – 2 x 25 MW supplied by M/s BHEL.
- Integrally geared air compressors – 3 nos., supplied by M/s IHI, M/s CENTAC, M/s Atlas-Copco.
- Reciprocating Compressors – 33 nos. Supplied by M/s Dresser-Rand, M/s Burckhardt, M/s Neuman & Esser, M/s Kirloskar, M/s KG Khosla, M/s Sabroe, M/s Alfa-Laval etc.
At Compressor Maintenance Group, we regularly engage contractors to carryout following jobs :
- Major / minor overhauling of turbo-compressors.
- Repair of Rotor, Guide blade carrier, Inner casing of turbo-compressors.
- Demagnetization of turbo-compressor parts.
- Major / minor overhauling of reciprocating compressors.
- Repair of Cylinder, Crank shaft, Valves etc. of reciprocating compressors.
- Major / minor overhauling of EOT cranes.
