The 10 Mega Watt (MW) Solar Power Plant set up at Gujarat Solar Park, Charanka, Dist. Patan was formally inaugurated by Shri Pankaj Joshi IAS, Hon’ble Managing Director on 28-08-2021 in presence of Shri Sudhir Gupta GM- BHEL, Shri Y N Patel HOD (O&M), Shri D V Parikh CFO & GM, Shri A C Shah CS & GM, Shri A G Gajjar GM and Office bearers of Employees Union, Shri N S Patel, Shri A M Patel, Shri P R Tada.
The wheeling of power from 10 MW Solar Power Plant is being done at Bharuch Unit for captive consumption and to fulfill solar Renewable Purchase Obligation (Solar RPO).
GNFC has taken a decision to set up additional 4 MW Solar Power Plant at Gujarat Solar Park, Charanka.
